WHAT IS THE “PLIDA”?

PLIDA is an acronym for “Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri”

PLIDA is a diploma which certifies proficiency in Italian as a second language. It is released by the “Societa` Dante Alighieri” according to a signed agreement with the Italian Foreign Office (n.1903 of 4/11/1993).

PLIDA is divided into 3 main levels: A – B – C

Each level is divided in 2 sub-levels: 1 and 2

1-   The A level is called ITALIANO INIZIALE (A1 – A2)

2-   The B level is called ITALIANO FONDAMENTALE  (B1 – B2)

3-  The C level is called ITALIANO PROFESSIONALE (C1 – C2)
